Wie sieht Tanz von der West Coast aus? Er ist ironisch, queer und kritisch. Keith Hennessys Solo Crotch erfüllt all diese Kriterien. Und nicht ohne Grund taucht die berühmte Maske aus dem US-Horrorfilm Scream auf. Die Parodie ist die Heilsamste unter den vielen Möglichkeiten, Referenzen herzustellen, und so zitiert Hennessy erfrischend respektlos auch das Beuyssche Fetteck, indem er es sich zwischen die Beine in den Schritt (engl. crotch) kleistert.

Multiskilled artist Keith Hennessy was a member of several collaborative performance companies. Bessie Award for Crotch (2009), 2 Isadora Duncan Awards (2009), the SF Bay Guardian’s Goldie (2007) and the Alpert/MacDowell Fellowship in Dance (2005). Performances in New York, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Zagreb, and at Impulstanz in Vienna. He teaches internationally and is currently PhD candidate in Performance Studies at UC Davis.
