In Onios performativem Raum entziehen sich Publikum und Performer dem sozialen Kontext, durch eine beidseitige Vereinbarung. Sie schaffen Realitäten, die existieren, aber nicht wahrgenommen werden, aus Gewohnheit oder aus menschlicher Unfähigkeit, damit umzugehen. Durch das Sichtbar-machen werden diese zur temporären Realität – für einen bestimmten Zeitrahmen entsteht Utopia.
Meter O Dedo Na Ferida (MDNF) - Stand By You wurde von António Onio und Sarah Armstrong im Ungdonhuset im Rahmen des Queer Festival in Kopenhagen entwickelt.
In Onio‘s performative space, performers and audience evade from the social context, through a mutual agreement. They create realities we all know that exist, but don‘t want to see, or are not used to seeing, not know-ing how to react to them, making them become visible, become reality, thus, for a certain time frame, creating utopia.
Meter O Dedo Na Ferida (MDNF) - Stand By You was originally performed by António Onio and Sarah Armstrong in Ungdonhuset, in the context of the Queer festival of Copenhagen. Onio‘s topic of interest is seeing bodies on stage struggling, with real problems and real obstacles, but never admitting totally to reality, creating universes on stage.
