Judith Sanchez will give a lecture about the history of Trisha Brown and her work, some personal impressions of her time with Trisha, her work and her career. She will show some excerpts of the piece Glacial Decoy, the Repertoire piece featured in our TBDC Intensive at sommertanz.
Judith Sánchez Ruíz (USA/Cuba) has worked with Trisha Brown Dance Company, David Zambrano, Jeremy Nelson, DD Dorvillier, Mal Pelo Company a. o., and is currently member of Sasha Waltz & Dancers. Various collaborative projects with composers, visual artists and photographers. Own choreographies throughout the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Cuba. Various international teaching engagements; currently Movement Research Artist-in-Residence, NYC.
