“Time for Disappearance performed by Seung Yoon Choi focuses on ‘deletion’. Its main purpose is understood to delete not only the time but also the dance and the performance itself. The work taking a form of ritual that reveals one’s inner aspects might seem to be the crude performance which puts more weight on its immediacy, but at the same time, it is sophisticated enough to attract and involve the audience. [...] Time for Disappearance uses ‘dance to delete the dance itself‘.“

Seung Yoon Choi is a performance related artist, currently living and working in Seoul, Korea. She started classical ballet at very early age, had formal training for ballet at Sun-Hwa Art High School (Seoul) and studied at Ewha Womans University majoring in dance (B.A). In 2012 she got awarded ‘Emerging Choreographers Class‘ by Korea art council and in 2013 participated in the performance series ‘Rising Star‘ led by Korea Performing Arts Center (HanPac), one of the most important institutions for performing arts in Korea.
