The starting point of the work in each city is an accident that had a strong impact on the community (or on a part of a community). On the basis of investigations and interviews with the local citizens Martin Nachbar develops a guided tour that reports the story between fact and fiction and carefully reveals some aspects of collective and individual memory, the impact of traumatic experiences and the creation of local myths and legends. In Berlin the topic will be the Berlin wall and cases of people killed while they tried to escape.
