“praticable“ ist ein Projekt von Alice Chauchat, Frédéric de Carlo, Frédéric Gies, Isabelle Schad und Odile Seitz. Das Projekt ist als horizontale Arbeitsstruktur angelegt, so dass Forschung, Kreation, Austausch und Produktions-Strukturen in Beziehung gesetzt werden. Diese Struktur ist die Basis für eine Serie von Performances, die jeweils von einem oder mehreren Projekt-Teilnehmern signiert werden. Die Phasen der Kreation sind Teil der Forschungsphasen. Somit weist jedes spezifische Projekt die Beteiligung aller Teilnehmer auf, beziehend auf Praxis, Forschung und der Erweiterung der Praxis aus der das Stück resultiert.
“praticable“ is a project by Alice Chauchat, Frédéric de Carlo, Frédéric Gies, Isabelle Schad and Odile Seitz. It is a horizontal work structure, which relates research, creation, transmission and production to each other. This structure is marked by periods of joint research of/on physical practices, which serve as a basis for various pieces signed by one or more participants in the project. The development periods are part of the research periods. Thus, each specific project implies the involvement of all participants in the practice, the research and the elaboration of the practice from which the pieces ensue.
Some questions circulating and being the basis of the works created in this frame are: How does a particular body practice infer a particular form of representation and how does it determine a form and a method of choreographic writing? How far does a body practice convey a social and political thinking? How can methods, frame and modes of organization in the creation work find a coherence with the body practice, and which form of representation do they infer?

Ich konzentriere mich auf die körperlichen Quellen des Ausdrucks und der Bewegung, um die Begriffe von “Choreografie” und “Stil” zu hinterfragen. Im Material des Körpers suche ich nach der inneren Motivation einer Bewegung und setzte verschiedene choreografische Stile gleichberechtigt nebeneinander. Die Partitur des Stückes öffnet sich unterschiedlichen Lesarten und Versionen (um es als Solo oder in der Gruppe zu tanzen) und macht die Zuschauer zu Co-Autoren der Choreografie.
By focusing on the physical sources of expression and movement, I question the notions of “choreography” and “style”. Seeking in the material of the body that which motivates the emergence of a movement, I expose and intertwine various choreographic styles. The score of the piece allows others to make their own version and to become co-author of the choreography. An excerpt of a group version of the piece, with Frédéric De Carlo, Frédéric Gies, Isabelle Schad and Odile Seitz, will be presented in Tanznacht, on the 16th of december.

Schwerpunkt von “marvel“ ist die weibliche Brust: als physiognomisches Faktum und als kulturelles Symbol für Weiblichkeit. Unser Interesse liegt im Produzieren von kulturell geprägten Repräsentationen der Frau aus einer körperlichen Praxis heraus. Wir fragen nach dem Verhältnis zwischen dem 'natürlichen' Körper und seinen kulturellen Repräsentationen.
The focus of this work lies on the breasts: as a physiological fact and a cultural symbol for femininity. Our interest is in producing culturally loaded representations of woman out of a concrete physical practice and to question the relationship between the "natural" body and its cultural representations. The piece is planned to be around 75 minutes long, and to 1čre next august in Berlin.
