We cordially invite you to this showing with possibility for a public talk afterwards. Looking forward seeing you at Tanzfabrik Berlin Subject 38 is a survivor. He presents himself to us; we see no destination, even not a hypothetic direction. We keep him under observation; we don’t know how conscious he is about it, how far this condition can influence his existence. He can stand a 20-minutes-waiting line. He whiles the time away; he is not in a hurry. Busy about nothing, not able to held his movement back, he stumbles. Recording of real life. The hitting is not harming him, at least apparently… When you think he is over, he gets a new idea. He moves, he changes, and he is so unconscious that he is able to laugh about it. Question: how can he resist? Subject 38 could be an amazingly good walker-on or a good leading actor… Not understandable - we stay open…
PIERA PAVANELLO is dancer, choreographer and teacher. She carries a university degree in sociology. Since 1986 she is dancing and collaborating with Arbalete Dance Company based in Genova (I) and sustained by Dipartimento Generale dello Spettacolo. Since 1990 she dances with Almatanz/Adriana Borriello (Rome) in Studi per le danze ’90, Tammorra ’97, Kyrie ’98, Animarrovescio ’99, I cieli e la terra ’04. As a dancer she was invited to perform during Festival Inteatro di Polverigi and Festival Dansem – Marseille. Co-founder of Scalo Veld(t)veer: the collective is performing in Italy and in Europe. She dances with Echo Art (Genova), Teatro della Tosse (Genova), Teatro Stabile (Genova). Choreographer for theatre in La Centaura, directed by L. Ronconi at Teatro Stabile and for Salomè, Il funambolo, Barahus , Il libro della giungla at Teatro Cargo – Genova. Piera teaches regular classes and workshops for professional dancers and actors in Genova. She collaborates with the Academy of Arts proposing to the students a context to study movement. In 2005 she is actor and dancer for Woyzeck by G. Büchner, directed by C. Collovà (Coop. Teatrale Dioniso, Teatro Garibaldi/Kals’art, Palermo). Se is author of the solo Registrazione shown in premiere during Corpi Urbani / Urban Bodies (International Dance Festival in Urban Contexts/Genova). Since 1993 she practice Tai Ji Quan ( M° Huang Gende - M° John Shadow) and since 2002 Aikido (M° C.Tissier, Shihan VII Dan) e Kinomichi? (M°Masamichi NORO).
