Dança Expressiva im Dialog mit zeitgenössischer Musik
Die Musik hören, spüren wie die Bewegung im Körper entsteht, Gehörtes direkt umsetzen, das ist Dança Expressiva. Die tänzerischen Elemente dieser von Elise Ralston entwickelten Tanzform entstammen der traditionellen brasilianischen Kultur. Der Dialog mit der Musik ist offen und unabhängig von einer bestimmten musikalischen Gattung. Die kreative Weiterentwicklung in dieser Auseinandersetzung eröffnet stets neue Formen zeitgenössischer Tanzsprache. Mit „Inventionen“ geht Elise Ralston den Weg von Dança Expressiva weiter, erstmalig mit der zeitgenössischen Musikerin Silvia Ocougne.
Elise Ralston Nach Ballettausbildung und vielen Jahren Lehrtätigkeit als Yoga Lehrerin entwickelt sie Dança Expressiva, eine Verbindung von religiösem brasilianischen Tanz mit zeitgenössischem Tanztheater. Sie arbeitet mit dem Percussionisten Paraná Bomfim seit 1991 im Rahmen von Unterricht und Tanztheaterstücken zusammen. ‘Inventionen’ ist ihre erste Zusammenarbeit mit der zeitgenössischen Musikerin Silvia Ocougne.
Silvia Ocougne stammt aus São Paulo, Brasilien. Studium der Komposition und Gitarre an der Sao Paulo Universität und Masterstipendium in Boston, USA am New England Conservatory. Lebt seit 1987 in Berlin, wo sie als Gitarristin/Komponistin und Perfomerin im Be-reich experimentelle, brasilianische und Neue Musik arbeitet. Als Solistin und mit Berliner Gruppen (u.a. mit ‘13th Tribe und Arnold Dreyblatts ‘Orchestra of Excited Strings’) hat sie international gastiert.
Dança Expressiva in dialogue with contemporary music
Hear the music, feel the movement develop in the body, directly interpret what is being heard, that’s Dança Expressiva. The dance elements in this technique developed by Elise Ralston come from traditional Brazilian culture. The dialogue with the music is open, frank and free of a definitive musical genre. The creative continuous development of this “conversation” opens up new contemporary forms of language for dance, time and time again. Elise Ralston takes another step on the Dança Expressiva path with “Inventionen”, for the first time with the musician Silvia Ocougne.
After an education in ballet and many years of teaching yoga, Elise Ralston developed Dança Expressiva, a combination of religious Brazilian dance and contemporary “Tanztheater“. She has been working with the percussionist Paraná Bomfim since 2001 in class and on stage and brings to her work her own very individual intense physicality. “Inventionen“, her first collaboration with the contemporary musician Silvia Ocougne, hopes to bring it to a new level.
Silvia Ocougne is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. Studied composition and guitar at São Paulo University and finished her masters in Boston, USA at the New England Conservatory. Lives in Berlin since 1987, where she works as a guitarist/composer and performer of experimental, Brazilian and contemporary music. She has performed internationally both as a soloist and with Berliner groups (a.o. with ‘13th Tribe’ and Arnold Dreyblatt’s ‘Orchestra of Excited Strings’). |
